It's officially race week! We will be down in the Springs this Friday to compete at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede. Remember: there are no athletic buses in DCSD, so students are in charge of getting themselves to the meet. If you don't have a ride, please reach out to a teammate to see if you can arrange a carpool.
We are excited to announce that we were selected to compete in the "championship division", meaning we will be racing against some of the best schools from across all divisions in the state. See below for race times. All students will be excused from any classes they'll miss after they are called out on Friday afternoon.
Also, please note that we still have mandatory practice on Saturday. We'll be at Bison Park.
Lastly, here's a heads up on our Labor Day schedule next weekend for planning purposes:
Friday 9/1: Arapahoe Warrior Invite
Saturday 9/2: OFF for Labor Day
Monday: 9/4: Practice at CV @ 3:15
Students will be excused from practice on Monday 9/4 only if it is for a pre-arranged family vacation, and the absence is communicated ahead of time. Any absence that does not fit that criteria will be considered unexcused.

SnapRaise
Snapraise is our annual team fundraiser that helps us fund a majority of what we need to sustain our cross-country program! Last year's efforts helped us buy:
- New Sweats (top and bottom, high quality materials)
- Team Backpacks
- Consultation with biomechanics expert
- Free team nutrition seminar
- Additional coaches
- Team shoes
SnapRaise is a relatively easy fundraiser to conduct; all you need to do is input 20 emails into the SnapRaise system. Even if you don't have 20 close contacts to give, you can still hit the quota by finding emails for local businesses. Every year we get some great donations from cold emails from Castle Rock businesses!
485-004-757 is our team's login code for athletes who have yet to sign into their account.
Participation in SnapRaise is mandatory and students must have all 20 emails submitted by Wednesday August 23rd or they will be ineligible to compete. Please reach out to coach Marshall for any questions on this.
