After a week of not racing, everyone was raring to go in North Denver on Friday at the Pat Amato Classic. Both our Boys and Girls Varsity squads toed the line with some of the best teams in the state across all classifications and came away with dual 7th place team finishes. While these squads are not getting much attention in 5A, those of us in Sabercat Nation know there is a storm brewing in North Castle Rock! There is no better evidence than two very strong performances from our JV squads. The girls took home some hardware with a 3rd place team finish and three individuals within the top 15 (Ellie Lansdown 3rd, Ciara Baker 9th, and Sophia Burden 15th). The Boys team finished a strong 6th place lead by Isaac Yore's 14th place finish. With Championship season upon us, Friday's strong performances look to set the tone for the next three weeks!

When Does My Season End?
October is our Championship month as we will have the Continental League Meet (Thursday, 10/14) , the 5A Region 5 Championship Meet (Thursday 10/21), and the State Championships (Saturday, 10/30). ALL healthy and eligible athletes will race through the League Meet. The top 10 boys and top 10 girls will continue to train as normal after the League Meet. Athletes who are racing NXR will have Saturday after Leagues off, and will re-join the team for practice Monday, October 18th. Athletes who are not racing Regionals or NXR are no longer required to attend practice after the League meet, however, they are welcome to continue attending practice, but understand the focus of the team and coaches will be on the Regionals, and State athletes.
For State, the top 8 athletes (7 runners and 1 alternate) will compete. Everyone training for NXR will continue to train as usual. ALL ATHLETES NOT COMPETING ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND REGIONALS AND STATE TO CHEER ON THEIR TEAMMATES.
