That was a great Track season with many PR’s, SB’s, and even a School Record! We are extremely excited for the future of this team and what we can accomplish going forward. With that being said, it is time to transition to cross country.
The next few weeks are going to set the tone for the fall. Below is a rough outline for the two main groups of athletes. All training during the summer is optional.
Track athletes
Athletes who ran through Leagues (and Frosh/Soph Champs)
- 5/16-5/28 – OFF
- OFF means little to no structured running. If you feel like going for an easy 20-30 minutes a few times this week, that is fine
- Other physical activity is encouraged (hiking, biking, etc.)
- 5/30-6/11 – Captain led or OYO running
- Optional training will be posted on the blog
- Captains are going to organize runs during this time
- Let coaches know if you are planning on taking more than two weeks off
- 6/13-8/6 – Summer Conditioning
- Structured optional practices Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat at 7:30 am
- Strength and Conditioning Mon and Thurs at 9:15-10:00 am
- Summer Conditioning Sign-up
Athletes who did the TT on Tuesday 5/17
- If you want to push your return date to June 1st that is okay.
Athletes who did other Spring Sports or did not do Track
- 5/16-5/28 – OFF or light running
- Spring Sport athletes
- Time as needed
- Non-Spring Sport athletes
- 20-30 minutes of running 3-4 times a week if you want
- Spring Sport athletes
- 5/30-6/11 – Captain led or OYO running
- Optional training will be posted on the blog

- 6/13-8/6 – Summer Conditioning
