Training
Hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to make a post to lay out the plan for the next few weeks, as we approach the end of the spring season and begin to look towards summer XC. As far as the training goes, I will continue to post "track season" workouts for the next 4 weeks. During this time, I will write in the option to do a "Time Trial" in each of the four weeks. Obviously the track is closed, but for those who still want to compete and test their fitness, finding a flat loop around a neighborhood is a decent option to run fast.
At the end of the four weeks we will be at May 16th, which is right around when most everyone's track season would have been coming to a close. At this point, anyone who was consistent with the training will go into their 2 week post-season down time, in order to recover from the training, and mentally and physically re-set for the summer.
As of right now, summer XC is scheduled to start on June 8th. I will have more information on the sign-up for that in the coming weeks, but there is obviously a chance that the COVID-19 situation will delay the start date for that as well.
I'm looking forward to a time when we can all see each other again, but until then, stay healthy and safe.
