Parking: Cottonwood West Lot. If it is full, you can use the east lot on the other end of the park.
When: Thursday: 5 for JV Boys, 6 for Girls
Friday: 5 for Varsity Boys, 6 for Girls
Who: Ponderosa, Legend, Chaparral, Douglas County (JV only), Castle View
Spectators: 2 per athlete. Please respect social distancing and masks rules per CSHAA. Other schools/ meets can disqualify us for not following the posted regulations. This is copy and pasted directly out of the CSHAA handbook for Covid regulations:
"All non-active participants (coaches, volunteers, managers, essential workers, security, medical personnel, and non-working officials) must wear a mask throughout the event/competition. This includes athletes not actively participating in competition. All spectators must wear masks."
Notice there is no distinction for inside or outside competition.
Here is a link to those rules if you would like to review them further: http://chsaanow.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/COVID-19-document-1.pdf. The portion referring to masked spectators is on page 4.
Athlete Masks: Athletes must walk up to the line with their CVXC buffs around their face. Then they can either drop the buff around their neck, or wrap it around their wrist. Dropping the mask or handing it off to a coach is not allowed, and could result in disqualification. Please ask me or Coach Lyons if you have questions about this process.
Remote Watching: Once again, we will be live streaming the meet via our team Instagram. Just click on our page's "story" during the race, and you will see the broadcast. This is also a great way for grandparents and older siblings to watch your athlete race from around the country! Find and follow our page here: https://www.instagram.com/castle_view_cross_country/?hl=en
Practice: If you are not racing, mandatory practice is being held at CV at normal time
