Frequently Asked Questions
Our family will be going on a few vacations. Is it okay if they miss a few days?
Yes- Practices during the winter are always voluntary, and we expect that most kids will miss at least a few days due to vacation. That said, athletes can always find their workouts on the blog, and are highly encouraged to continue running on vacation.
Who can join the CVXC winter conditioning program?
Any current 9th- 12th graders that are zoned for or attend Castle View HS.
Is there any gear our child need for the first day?
A good pair of running shoes, warm-weather workout clothes, hats, gloves, a water bottle and a watch. We have a running store here in town called RNK- they do shoe fitting and have discounts for HS athletes. The watch doesn't need to be anything fancy. Just something that track times.
