high altitude camp

WHAT: This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in running for a few days at the end of summer. This camp always produces strong team bonds and lasting memories. Please plan to go if you are available that week. This is encouraged for all high school runners, not just those who are hoping to make varsity.
Athletes will participate in running activities, games, team building experiences and hiking. Meals will be prepared as a group and athletes will be assigned to groups for preparing specific meals. This is a great opportunity to really get to know the team and develop lasting relationships!
COST: $50. This covers campground reservation fee as well as meals Monday evening to Wednesday morning.
HOUSING: Athletes will be staying in tents at a group campground. We will need families to volunteer tents and we ask that athletes bring their own sleeping bags and personal camping gear. There will be separate camping areas for the boys and girls teams.
TRANSPORTATION: Parents can drop athletes off at the Rifleman Phillips Campground in Golden Gate Canyon State Park or athletes can drive themselves/carpool to the park.
